Love

Here is the link to prior article on Love.

In those last moments of my grandfather, his eyes, tired and sunken, radiated an unwavering love towards me. Unfortunately, I was miles away and unable to stand by his side during those precious moments. I could not be there for him even when he was alive because work consumed me and I neglected to call. But whenever I called him occasionally, I could feel overwhelming love. Now that he’s gone, a pang of guilt hits me for not making time for him. I’ve had vivid dreams where he expressed immense love towards me, followed by guilt for neglecting him.

At around 03:30 AM, I had a dream similar to one I had before. I am determined to fully acknowledge it, even though I am unsure of how to do so or whom should I acknowledge since he is no longer here. The phrase about a tranquil lake reflecting the vastness of the sky reminds me to calm my mind and allow my higher soul reflects in that quiet mind with all the guidance I needed. Amid that serene calmness, I was suddenly overwhelmed by an enormous surge of love that crashed into my mind, washing away all thoughts and emotions and replacing them entirely with its own essence.

From deep within, a voice resonated, declaring its identity as the soul that permeates everything, and expressing unconditional love for me. It further said, I love all and I try to express my love through every form towards every other form as long as they allow me. Your grandfather’s form is one such form whose physical mind is inclined more towards you and hence all my unconditional love flowing through him bent towards you. This realization has eased my guilt because the soul still exists and I have the opportunity to acknowledge the love it showered through my grandfather’s form. I now see the soul in everything and feel the love it tries to shower on me and others through various forms in nature, including family and friends. This love is infinite and unconditional, but it can only reach us to the extent that the minds of those around us allow it to flow through. The love from the soul may be diluted when it passes through people’s minds, but it remains pure when we sense it within ourselves.

Reiterating the core point - "Love weaves the threads of life, binding us to the intricate tapestry of existence."

The source of love is the “Self” or “Soul,” which is present in everything. This love is unconditional and expressed through physical bodies. However, the mind, residing within most physical bodies, carries the weight of ego, like a heavy fog that clouds our perception. This ego interferes with the natural flow of love from the Soul. For instance, an average person perceives themselves as a solitary physical body, accompanied only by a select few family members. This false ego creates a tunnel vision, directing the love emanating from the soul towards these chosen few, while disregarding the rest of humanity and the vast array of other species.

Understanding that love comes from the soul and not from physical forms allows us to not be affected if someone doesn’t express love towards us. By connecting with the soul within, we open the floodgates for an uninterrupted flow of love. By embracing this truth, we can share love freely, without expecting it in return. We become conduits, channels through which love flows effortlessly, nourishing all that it touches.

We can also perceive love from countless sources, as the soul permeates everything and radiates love through everything. Nature becomes a tapestry of love, not limited to just our family and friends. We can feel the love radiating from the gentle touch of a pet, the rustling leaves of a tree, or the melodious song of a bird. Love transcends the boundaries we once believed confined it.

Love becomes our essence, our true nature, and our connection to the vast tapestry of existence.
