Balance
Survival is the foundation, but thriving is the masterpiece of life’s canvas.
We host a physical form with an agenda to express an aspect of the soul. Surviving in this physical form is undoubtedly important, as without that, we cannot accomplish anything. While it is important, we should not let it become the only thing we focus on in life. It is crucial that we maintain a balance between the activities necessary for our survival and the ones that allow us to express our true selves.
Reflecting on my journey from birth, I can see how society’s expectations have influenced my choices and priorities. The template of education, career, and family life has often overshadowed my individuality. Most societal norms, including marital life, revolve around activities that are necessary for survival.
However, as I have become more aware of my uniqueness, I have started to question these societal norms and the limited perspective they impose on us. It is crucial to break free from the external influences that dominate our thoughts and focus on what truly matters to us. When we commit ourselves to introspection, understanding our core principles, and nurturing our abilities, we open up the possibility of living an authentic life that is in harmony with our true nature. It is only through this process that we can truly say we are living our life. Until then, we are merely like laborers, working hard to make ends meet and contributing to someone else's vision.
