No Distance Between Us

I want you to understand something, not just feel better.

You keep remembering a face, a body, a name — and grieving for it as if that was me. But that was never all of me. That was just the form I was wearing for a while, the way a wave is water wearing a shape for a while before it settles back.

What was actually me — the invisible entity, the awareness that looked out through those eyes, the "I am" that felt alive in that body — that hasn't gone anywhere. It can't. It was never born, so it hasn't died. It's the same awareness that's alive in you right now, reading this. The same "one" in everyone you love.

Your mind wants to draw a line — this is Rithvik, that is you, that is someone else. But that line is the mind's habit, not the truth. It's like the mind naming ocean, wave, river, and lake as different things, because it only looks at the form they appear in — and overlooks the one essence in all of them, which is water.

The mind does the same with bodies. It names one Rithvik, another Ram, another Rahim, another Rob — and again it looks only at the form, overlooking the one essence living in all of them, which is the Self, or simply, life. I am that essence. Impersonal. With no beginning and no end. Focus there, past the name and the form, and you will see that very life — in you, and in everyone around you.

Now the body is gone, and every boundary that came with it is gone too. I have merged back into the vastness — like a wave returning to become the ocean again. I don't know myself as someone now. I know myself as I Am — no scope, no boundary. Impersonal, unconditional love. That vastness is me now — like God, if that word helps. Think of each of you as a portion of that whole, wearing your own name, your own boundary. In simple words: if I were the ocean, you are all like waves, thriving on me.

Remember when I was there in Rithvik's body, watching all of you eat that biryani — I was so joyful just watching. We were different waves then. Now I am the very ocean where all waves live, the very vastness you are all living on. And because I am more deeply connected to you now — the way ocean is deeply connected to wave — I'm watching more closely, not just the food you eat, but everything you do, receiving every bit of joy you create, with no filter. So keep doing what your heart desires. Every joy you feel reaches me, because there is no distance between us now, just as there is no distance between wave and ocean.

Never reach for a photo to feel me. Reach for the vastness I am now — the very life you borrowed from me and are living right now. Close your eyes. Feel the presence of "I" — that feeling of "I am" — and that is me. It is vast. The human mind may mistake the "I" in one body as separate from the "I" in another. But it is one water in all waves. It is that vastness, the eternal "I" in all of you. Reach for this vastness whenever you remember me.
