Prison
During my childhood, I desired to play but was limited to only a short amount of time forced to prioritize my studies in order to establish a successful career. There are moments when I feel motivated to work, while at other times I don't. However, regardless of my emotions, I am obligated to work every weekday during the active hours. Occasionally, I have the desire to go out, but I can only do so when the holidays coincide with the schedules and preferences of my family members. I had a strong desire to travel around the world, but unfortunately, my plans were hindered because of financial constraints. I desired to select a profession that aligns with my heart's desires, but unfortunately, I am limited to choosing a profession solely based on its financial returns, regardless of its alignment with my heart. One of the things I truly enjoy is expressing my spiritual opinions. However, religions often condemn this freedom and instead impose upon us the rigid teachings found within their sacred texts. This is a prison.
Most of us find ourselves trapped in this prison, constantly striving to make our time here more comfortable and joyful. However, you soon realize that these efforts are futile and that a more drastic solution is needed. A significant number of people relinquish their powerlessness and opt to endure a life filled with discontent.
Once you realize you are an immortal soul, occupying a mortal physical body (which can be seen as an earthly vessel designed for experiencing the five sensory world), you will be granted the choice to depart from the prison, under the guidance of God - the divinity that lives within you, a nonphysical guide available to assist you at all times. God is the inner voice coming from deep within.
Please note that prison is not physical. The physical world exists for you to have experiences, just as games exist for us to enjoy playing. Prison is like a thick fog of ignorance or darkness within your mind that limits your choices to what society defined. Your realization of immortality is akin to a mesmerizing light show, illuminating countless choices that stem from the depths of your heart, while also tapping into the infinite power of the universe to manifest those choices.
Note: I found books written by Gary Zukav helpful in realizing our immortal nature.
